I’m very excited to say that The Inbetweenness of Things book was released last month! This volume comes from a conference on the topic of material culture mediated through movement around the world; Lisa Truong and I participated in the symposium that inspired this book at the British Museum in 2013, sharing our work looking into twentieth-century Indigenous recreations of the teacup form. Our research there became one of the chapters in the book, which itself is imagined as a cabinet of curiosities containing not only the teacups we focused on, but dozens of other intriguing and hybridized objects from museums and collections around the world.

Our chapter is titled “The Indigenization of the Transcultural Teacup in Colonial Canada,” and the book itself is published by Bloomsbury Academic.
