I’m a white settler PhD candidate in the Department of History at Simon Fraser University specializing in the fields of Indigenous history, Canadian cultural and social history, and gender and sexuality in colonialism.
My SSHRC-funded research project explores the connections between Stó:lō cultural curation and political activism in the twentieth century. This project is being supervised by Dr. Mary-Ellen Kelm.
I also work as a Lecturer in First Nations Studies at SFU, where I teach classes in Indigenous histories of North America, Coast Salish histories, and oral history. In the History department, I have worked as a sessional instructor teaching classes in Canadian history, Indigenous history, and gender history.
I hold a Master of Museum Studies from the University of Toronto (2010) and a Bachelor of Arts in History and French from SFU (2008).
